The ironic drama where human weaknesses are reflected is presented trough combining the past and present, performance and reality. The unexpected twist of the plot emphasizes that the diamond necklace turns out to be as false as the world to which the main character strives.
Levan Shubashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, June 30th , 1990. Still, my initial profession was quite different. I obtained the bachelor’s degree in Economic and Business. Now, My main profession is film directing and screenwriting. In 2016 I obtained Master’s Degree in the faculty of feature film director in Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University (great Georgian director Aleksandre Rekhviashvili’s workshop). I have already shot some fiction and documentary short films. In addition to my own films, I have worked on other authors' films in various positions. Periodically, I shoot short documentaries for the Georgian Public Broadcaster. I attended The International Berlin Film Festival as a guest in 2006, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2020. My films were screened on Georgian Public Broadcast channel, were selected by Tbilisi International Film Festival (Georgia), Kutaisi International Short Film Festival (Georgia), Taoba Youth International Film Festival (Tbilisi, Georgia), Matsalu Nature Film Festival (Estonia) and Espinho International Short Film Festival (Portugal) and was screened in London in project Where Europe Meets Asia: Georgia25.
