A programmer, film hunter, industry expert, member of the European Film Academy, festival traveller freelance reporter and always curious cinephile. After 15 years of programming, coordinating, scheduling for the Vilnius International Film Festival (http://www.vilniusiff.lt) he now watches films, scouts and advises for BLACK NIGHTS Film Festival in Tallinn from 2018. Edvinas regularly attends various international film festivals around the world since 2001. He visited 21 film festivals and saw 887 feature films in 2019 and accomplished the most positive effect of the pandemic lockdown in 2020 while watching 1204 movies mostly at Home. It is already clear that last years record will be again broken, because currently Edvinas already saw 1137 films and attended 7 physical festivals only during summer. From 2018 till 2020 he was invited as Independent Expert to join for a challenging mission in the Selection Committee of the European Film Awards. First Cut Lab trusted him with two invitations as Industry Expert to share opinions on still unfinished films from Finland (in 2019) and Czech Republic (in 2021). Previously Edvinas judged short and feature films as a Jury member in Cannes (CICAE Jury for QUINZAINE DES REALISATEURS), Berlin (CICAE Jury for section FORUM), Busan & Warsaw (NETPAC Juries), Wroclaw (Polish Shorts Jury), Cluj-Napoca (Romanian Shorts & Features Juries), Lodz (TRANSATLANTYK Jury in Polish Shorts), Bucharest, Tallinn, Minsk, Malatya, Pilsen and Varna for the GOLDEN ROSE Film Festival (Bulgarian National Films Competition).
